MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART

 

The Museum of Modern Art located in Ca'Pesaro, an impressive Baroque palace on the Grand Canal, offers an insight into modern art of the greatest importance, since the works of art on display were exhibited at the Biennale from 1896 onwards. They witness the evoution of the idea of art threoughout  a century.

The Peggy Guggenheim Foundation on the other hand offers an extraordinary selection of works of art dating from the 20th century, which were collected by the gifted talent scout and inspired American art lover.

The Pinault Foundation houses important exhibitions of conhtemporary art in its two seats, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana.
