ON PALLADIO'S FOOTSTEPS:

THE REDENTORE AND SAN GIORGIO MAGGIORE

We visit two churches built by the greatest architect of the Venetian Renaissance, a true landmark of St.Mark's Basin: San Giorgio Maggiore, built for the Benedictine monks facing the Doge's Palace, and Redentore,  built as a votive church to Christ on the Giudecca Island after the devastating epidemics of bubonic plague in 1576.

In order to reach the islands it is necessary to use public transport, or to hire a private taxi

We require the reservation of headsets, for all groups, thus enabling all members of the party to follow the tour without any difficulty.
